For over half a century, the raw, electrifying sound of AC/DC has reverberated across the globe, cementing their status as true legends of rock and roll. Now the iconic band is proving hard rock never ages with their Power Up North American Tour.

Formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, AC/DC quickly carved out a niche with their blues-infused hard rock, characterized by Angus’s signature schoolboy uniform and blistering guitar riffs, and a powerful, no-nonsense energy.

The early years saw a revolving door of band members before the lineup solidified with Bon Scott on vocals, Phil Rudd on drums and Mark Evans (later replaced by Cliff Williams) on bass. Their relentless touring and hard-hitting albums like “High Voltage” (1976) and “Let There Be Rock” (1977) built a strong following in Australia and then internationally. The release of “Highway to Hell” in 1979 catapulted them to mainstream success, but tragedy struck in 1980 with the untimely death of Scott.

Many bands would have faltered, but AC/DC, with the encouragement of Scott’s family, found a new voice in Brian Johnson. Their first album with Johnson, “Back in Black” (1980), became a monumental success, selling tens of millions of copies worldwide and solidifying the band’s place in rock history with iconic tracks like “Hells Bells” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.”

Through lineup changes and the passing of Malcolm Young in 2017, AC/DC has persevered, staying true to their core sound while continuing to deliver high-octane performances.

AC/DC’s Power Up tour, which kicked off in April, has already seen packed stadiums filled with generations of fans eager to experience the raw power of AC/DC live. The setlist features a mix of classic anthems and tracks from their latest album, “Power Up” (2020), showcasing their enduring energy and musical prowess.

The tour includes stops across the United States and Canada, including recent shows in Minneapolis, Arlington, and a sold-out performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on April 18. Upcoming dates in AC/DC’s Power Up tour include Vancouver, Las Vegas, Detroit, Foxborough, Pittsburgh, and many more, culminating in a show in Cleveland at the end of May.

For fans looking to show their allegiance, official AC/DC concert apparel, including tour-specific merchandise, is available online at the AC/DC Official Store and other retailers. Websites like Fanatics.com also often carry a range of AC/DC clothing and accessories, allowing fans to grab a piece of rock and roll history.

AC/DC’s Power Up tour is a testament to the band’s enduring legacy and unwavering dedication to their fans. After decades of rocking the world, they continue to stand as a powerful force in music, proving that their brand of timeless rock and roll will never die.
