DJ Snoop-A-Delic (AKA Snoop Dogg) will perform a DJ set, competitive eaters will chow down and more than 20 Southern California noodle vendors will set up shop in Huntington Beach for a festival.

The “Nood Beach” festival, a spinoff of food blog Foodbeast’s “Noods, Noods, Noods” events, will take place Sept. 1 at SeaLegs At The Beach. Vendors will sell “traditional and unconventional” takes on noodles, according to a description of the event. Some of the varieties offered will be ramen, udon, Thai and Vietnamese.

Geoffrey Kutnick, co-founder of the Santa Ana-based Foodbeast, wrote in an email that some of the vendors include Huntington Beach’s LSXONewport Beach’s Ten Asian Bistro, and Los Angeles’ Michin Dak.

Quarters Kitchen, a restaurant from the same group as Quarters Korean BBQ in Los Angeles that will open in Yorba Linda in August, will also attend, according to Kutnick.

The event’s #mukbang stage will feature internet personalities eating their way through festival food. There will also be professional eaters who will participate in the Foodbeast Challenger League Noodle Invitational by consuming hundreds of pounds of food in front of an audience.

Long Beach icon Snoop Dogg will be at the event, albeit as his alter ego DJ Snoop-A-Delic. Some of the artists that will play at the festival’s Twitch.TV Streaming Stage include bands Yachty by Nature, Sega Genocide and Coast Club.

Tickets are $40 for general admission and $80 for VIP and can be purchased by visiting
