Social media is a huge part of our lives. I’m sure you’ve heard it many times. And while some may see it as a negative, it is also important to look at the bright side. Social media allows for showing memories, videos, and photos. Instagram is a social media giant that is popular for the “picture perfect post.” If you are a local, tourist, or a new Orange County resident hoping to take the perfect Insta photo, we found the top photo spots to add to your feed.
1. Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center
Also known as the ARTIC is the Anaheim train station. This spot is popular for the colored lights and aesthetically pleasing lighting. If you are looking for a spot after sunset, the ARTIC is the perfect spot for a nighttime photo opportunity. Since it is a train station, there is plenty of parking available without having to pay, but also plenty of people walking up to catch a train.
2. Anaheim Packing House
The Anaheim Packing District is a food hall full of local vendors. It is a great place to enjoy some food with friends, without having to all agree on a specific type of food, and take cute pictures. Unlike the ARTIC’s lights, the Anaheim Packing House gives a more rustic and garden like vibes. Since it is a food hall, a food pic thrives in the Packing House. There is valet parking available for $5, but there is self-parking in the Packing House lot, or on Claudina. You can park on the streets, but be aware of permit-only streets and other restrictions.
3. Old Towne Orange
Old Towne Orange, also known as “The Circle” to the locals is an unexpectedly good place to take pictures. The cute downtown is filled with antique shops and more recently with more restaurants. Parking is free, you can whether you park on the street or find a public parking lot. Old Towne Orange has a number of buildings in the National Register of Historic Places making a great location if you are trying to get some film aesthetic type of pictures for your feed. Old Towne Orange is a great location for a shoot during the day or the night. You can get a fountain pic at noon or an alley pic at night, Old Towne Orange has a spot waiting for you.
4. The LAB
The “anti-mall” is located in Costa Mesa and has a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. It is a nontraditional hangout spot for many college students. It has a wide variety of picture opportunities, whether its the CD archway or the color barrels, the LAB offers both art and fashion. The LAB does have a parking lot, which gets filled quickly on weekends.
5. Lido Marina Village
Lido Marina Village is a waterside shopping center with boutiques and destination for chic cafes and dining located in Newport Beach. The white walls and outdoor seating make Lido Marina a calm and relaxing hangout space and a more laid back photoshoot setting. The village does offer 1-hour free parking and recently with any store purchase or meal you can receive 2 additional hours of free parking. It also offers valet parking with a daily $40 max. The first two hours of valet are $8. If the day is sunny and you want to head to the beach, stop by the Lido Marina Village for some cute photo opportunities.
